TWO people were taken to hospital after a car crashed through a shop window.

London Ambulance Service sent two ambulances and a fast response car to the scene in Sidcup Hill at the junction of Rectory Lane, Sidcup.

A 61-year-old man was taken to Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, suffering from shock and a 66-year-old man was taken to the same hospital with neck pain.

It is not known whether the pair were in the shop or the car when the accident happened at around 2.20pm on Sunday (September 14).

How is it possible that this happened, what on earth was the driver doing - was he on the phone????

The people taken to hospital may have been in the car, they are elderly and the accident could have been caaused by ill-health.
Leave it there Lee, rather than responding and proving how thick and stupid you are.

Surely it’s time the Government stepped in and put an end to over 60’s driving, this type of thing happens to frequently for my likings. Last month some old fart drove down the motorway the wrong way!!!
PS why is there a car insurance ad just under the article!!!

rather than take them off the road i personally think at the age of 60 it should be compulsory that you resit your driving test as most of the older generation got handed there licenses when they got given their ration cards during the war. and also they should only be allowed to drive automatic cars as they clearly can not focus on changing gear, steering, and looking where they are going at the same time as lighting up another superking black!!!!

just to prove how stupid you are!!!! if you have ill health and are over 60 then you shoud either come off the road or resit your test as most people on this comment page are saying. so before you speak THINK!!!!!, the drivers being in hospital are no concern of mine wat concerns me is innocent people on the sidewalk who are not putting people's lives at risk.
