SIX months of competition, 10 finalists, hundreds of votes - and now two winners.

News Shopper can today announce the champions of our 2008 Wow Factor contest, the quest to find the most gorgeous girl and handsome hunk in the region.

Competition was fierce, with phone and text votes coming thick and fast during August.

But at the end of the month-long final there were two clear winners who had secured more votes than their rivals.

The winner in the girls' category was 17-year-old Emily Baxter, from Petts Wood.

And 21-year-old Jack Regan, from Mottingham, was the winner in the boys' category.

The two Wow Factor champions for 2008 will now share thousands of pounds worth of prizes.

They each get £500 to spend at Debenhams in Bromley, £500 hair care and products from Graham Webb International, an overnight break for two at Rowhill Grange Hotel and Utopia Spa in Wilmington and £250 to spend on photography with Nigel Barrett in Bexleyheath.

Well done to the two winners. Thanks to everyone else who took part and voted during this year's competition.
